The car needs to be titled from the donor to the charity, or the charities agent if they use one, then titled to the person the car is sold to. Does the sale price or the car's worth count as income? If the car is sold then it is the sale price. If the car is used by the charity then it is the "fair market value" (kbb or similar).

Also, if the charity uses an agent, the agent would be liable and never the charity. Car donations made to charities on <a href="www.donationwizard.com/">donation wizard</a> are not liable.
