The Alaska Department of Motor Vehicles can provide additional information about transferring title and releasing liability when donating a car in Alaska.
Donate a Car for Charity operates in Alaska, as well as in the continental US. They provide vehicle pick-ups throughout the state, including Anchorage, Juneau, and Fairbanks. In most cases, you must provide a clear title when you donate a vehicle in Alaska. Please consult the Alaska Department of Motor Vehicles to determine procedures if you do not have a title. The Alaska DMV will also be able to provide you with more information on how and when to release the liability of your donated vehicle.
