The Georgia Motor Vehicle Department can provide additional information about transferring title and releasing liability when donating a car in Georgia.

Donate a Car for Charity provides vehicle pick-ups throughout the state of Georgia, including Atlanta, Augusta, Macon, Statesboro, Albany, La Fayette, Americus, La Grange, Valdosta, Savannah, Athens, Columbus, Waycross, Monroe, and Statesboro. In most cases, you must provide a clear title when you donate a vehicle in Georgia. Please consult the Georgia Motor Vehicle Department to determine procedures if you do not have a title. The Georgia Motor Vehicle Department will also be able to provide you with more information on how and when to release the liability of your donated vehicle.
