August 20, 2010, Newsletter Issue #205: Donating vehicles, rather than selling them in the private market, can be environmentally friendly.

Tip of the Week

Many cars that are donated are not simply driven around by the charity that receives them. Rather, many older vehicles donated through car donation services are disassembled and the parts sold or recycled. This helps cycle older, less environmentally-friendly vehicles out of the system, this helping to reduce emissions and open the market to more fuel efficient vehicles.
